Phase 1 of 3

Strategy & Structure

We build the structural foundation before a single pixel of visual design is touched. This phase is about alignment, clarity, and creating the UX blueprint that everything else is built on.

Getting aligned before we get creative

Phase 1 is the most important phase of the project, and often the most underestimated. Before we design anything, we need to understand how users will move through your site, what actions matter most, and how your content should be structured to support your business goals. This phase produces a UX blueprint in the form of wireframes: structural, low-fidelity layouts that define page hierarchy, navigation, and content flow, without the distraction of colours, images, or final copy.

1

Kickoff Meeting

We schedule a dedicated session to walk through your goals, audience, and expectations. We confirm who the decision-maker is for feedback and approvals. One clear point of contact keeps things moving smoothly.

2

UX Structure Planning

We map out the site architecture: which pages exist, how they connect, what content lives where, and how users navigate from entry to conversion. Every layout decision here is intentional.

3

Low-Fidelity Wireframes

We produce clean, content-focused wireframes for each page or section. These show structure and hierarchy, not style. This keeps feedback focused on what matters: does this work for your users?

4

Wireframe Presentation

We present the wireframes and walk you through the reasoning behind each structural decision. You'll see how user journeys are planned, not just individual pages.

5

Review & Revisions

You provide feedback and we apply revisions within the agreed scope. This is a collaborative process. Your input shapes the structure before we commit to the design direction.

6

Written Approval

Before we move to Phase 2, we require written sign-off on the approved wireframes. This protects both of us: no scope creep, no misalignment, no surprises later.

Phase 1 Deliverables

UX Wireframes Low-fidelity structural layouts for every page or section. Covers desktop layouts; mobile considered in structure.
Kickoff Session Notes A written summary of everything agreed in the kickoff: goals, audience, priorities, and communication preferences.
Site Architecture Map A clear overview of all pages, their relationships, and the user flow between them.
Written Phase Approval A formal sign-off document confirming the agreed wireframes before Phase 2 begins. Your protection and ours.

What you pay at this stage

Phase 1 is triggered by a 30% milestone payment. The €50/€100/€200 Project Initiation Fee you paid in Stage 2 is fully deducted from this amount, so you're not paying twice.

Important notes for Phase 1

One decision-maker, please

Feedback is most effective when it comes through a single point of contact. We'll confirm this at kickoff. Multiple contradictory voices slow everything down and can impact scope.

Revisions are scoped

Phase 1 includes revisions within the agreed scope. Structural changes that significantly alter the direction after approval may require scope reassessment.

No visual design yet

Wireframes are intentionally bare. Fonts, colours, imagery: none of that is decided here. Feedback about visual preferences at this stage is noted but not acted on until Phase 2.

Written approval is required

We do not begin Phase 2 without written sign-off on the wireframes. This isn't bureaucracy. It protects your budget and timeline from scope drift.
