Everything you need to know about how we work, what to expect, and how much it costs. Can't find your answer? Just reach out.
Our process
Yes, completely. Stage 1 (Getting to Know Your Project) costs nothing. You fill in a structured questionnaire, we review your goals, audience, and requirements, and you receive a clear project summary with an estimated investment. No commitment, no invoice, no obligation to proceed.
This step protects both sides. You get clarity before spending anything. We get the information we need to give you an accurate picture.
Once we've reviewed your questionnaire, we'll send you an email with a clear project summary and estimated investment. From there, it's completely up to you whether you'd like to proceed. There's no pressure and no obligation.
Still unsure or have questions after receiving your summary? No problem. Just email us at info@engaginguxdesign.com and we'll be happy to walk you through anything before you make a decision.
Timeline varies by plan and how quickly feedback is provided on each phase. As a general guide:
Delays in providing feedback, content, or approvals will affect the timeline. Keeping one clear decision-maker on your side keeps things moving.
Yes, at key moments. We ask that one person on your side is designated as the decision-maker for feedback and approvals. You don't need to be available every day, but you'll need to review and respond at the end of each phase before we can move forward. The faster feedback comes in, the faster your project progresses.
Before we move from one phase to the next, we require a written confirmation (typically via email) that you're happy with the deliverables and ready to proceed. This isn't bureaucracy. It protects your budget and timeline by locking in what was agreed before more work is built on top of it.
Changes requested after a phase is approved may affect scope, timeline, and cost. Written approval gives both sides clarity and peace of mind.
Pricing & payments
The Project Initiation Fee is a small upfront payment made at Stage 2 to formally activate your project and allow us to prepare your tailored contract. It is fully deducted from your Phase 1 payment, so you are not paying it on top of anything.
Payments are tied to milestones, not arbitrary dates, so you only pay when real progress has been made and approved.
All plans include UX-structured layout, responsive design, a clickable Figma prototype, and a launch-ready website. Pricing starts at:
Optional add-ons such as SEO setup, logo design, domain and hosting, and maintenance support are available for each plan.
No. The project summary you receive at Stage 1 is transparent about scope and cost. What can affect the final total:
Any changes that affect cost are always discussed and agreed with you before any additional work is done.
Payment details and accepted methods are included in your tailored contract at Stage 2. If you have a specific requirement, mention it when you get in touch and we'll confirm what works on both sides.
Design & deliverables
A wireframe is a low-fidelity structural layout that shows how content is organised on each page, showing structure without colours, fonts, or images. It maps out navigation, page hierarchy, and user flow so that every design decision in Phase 2 has a logical foundation beneath it.
We start with wireframes because changes at the structural stage cost minutes. The same changes after the design is complete cost hours. It protects your budget and keeps Phase 2 focused purely on making things look great.
At the end of Phase 2, we share a navigable Figma prototype: a fully designed, clickable version of your website that you can experience before anything is built. You can click through pages, test the flow, and review every screen exactly as it will look on the final site.
This means you sign off on the experience, not just a static image. By the time we reach Phase 3, there are zero interpretation gaps between design and development.
Yes. All text, images, logos, and brand assets must be provided by you before Phase 2 begins. We structure and present your content effectively. We don't create it from scratch unless copywriting or photography is agreed as a separate add-on.
We build on modern, widely supported platforms suited to your project type and plan. The platform is discussed and confirmed during the kickoff in Phase 1 so that it fits your needs, technical comfort level, and long-term plans. If you have a preference, let us know in your questionnaire.
Yes, always. Responsive design (desktop and mobile) is included in every plan. Before launch, we test across multiple screen sizes and major browsers to make sure everything looks and performs correctly on all devices.
Each phase includes revisions within the agreed scope. We don't cap revisions with an arbitrary number. Revisions should be based on the original brief and agreed direction. Changes that significantly shift the direction, add new pages, or redesign approved work are assessed as scope changes.
The most effective feedback is consolidated and specific. One clear round of feedback is far more efficient than many small rounds.
During the project
Communication is handled primarily via email. We establish the preferred channel and response expectations at the kickoff meeting. Updates, deliverables, and approvals all go through the agreed point of contact on your side.
Small adjustments within the agreed scope are handled as part of the normal revision process. If a change goes beyond the original scope, for example adding a new page, changing the overall direction, or requesting a redesign of approved work. We'll discuss the impact on timeline and cost before proceeding. Nothing extra is ever done without your agreement first.
If feedback is specific and based on the agreed brief, we'll address it in the revision round. The design process is collaborative: we present, you review, we refine. If a direction isn't working, we want to know early so we can course-correct efficiently. The Phase 1 wireframe process exists specifically to make sure the visual direction in Phase 2 has a solid, agreed foundation to build on.
Pausing and cancellation terms are covered in your tailored contract, signed at Stage 2. As a general principle: work completed up to the point of pause or cancellation is invoiced according to the milestone structure. If you anticipate a delay or need to pause, reach out as early as possible so we can manage the schedule together.
After launch
At the end of Phase 3, you receive:
Yes, maintenance and support packages are available as optional add-ons after launch:
These are optional. You're under no obligation to take one. If you'd rather manage the site yourself, we'll make sure you have everything you need to do so at handover.
Foundational SEO setup is available as an add-on for each plan:
This covers the technical and structural SEO foundations: page titles, meta descriptions, clean URL structures, and basic on-page optimisation. Ongoing SEO strategy and content marketing are separate services available on request.
Domain registration and hosting are the client's responsibility unless the domain and hosting setup add-on is selected. We'll advise on the right setup for your plan and help you get it configured correctly. The add-on covers the setup process, not the ongoing hosting cost itself. which is paid directly to your hosting provider.
Yes. We build on platforms with user-friendly content management so you can update text, images, and basic content yourself without touching code. At handover, we'll make sure you understand how to manage the areas you're likely to update most.
